Reform will turn the boats around. Reform will save this country. Reform are political entrepreneurs.

Of the last 3.1 million people who came into this country from non-eu countries, less than 20 of them that work. How can that happen? The whole social contract in this country is broken.

These problems, the boats & illegal migration are actually relatively straightforward to solve.

If you define straightforward actions, you don’t need rocket scientists and Nobel laureates to give you the answer. What you need is the political courage. You need real leadership and you also need the Mandate. Not only must Reform win the next general election, but we must win it outright….Not in some ragtag Coalition with a bunch of Tories who are in reality Lib Dems, and don’t want to leave the ECHR and don’t want to tackle the problem.

That’s what it’s going to take to deliver the results that we need. Some things are relatively straightful to solve. Speaking to senior people in his Majesty’ Royal Navy, they say we could stop those boats within 48 hours if there was the political clarity and the political. There are multiple things that are necessary, multiple steps that are necessary.

The UK needs to leave the European Conversion of Human Rights and not only is this possible, it can be done on day 1 by activating Article 15 and there is precedent for this. Article 15 was used during covid to suspend the ECHR and allow the Government to lock down the population. All we need to do is declare an immigration emergency threatening the life of the country and “poof” the convention no longer applies to migration, immigration and related matters. The Country also give 6 months notice that it is leaving the ECHR and then Reform will have 6 months to implement a UK Human Rights bill, not just some European Style legislation where interpretation is left to the judges, but one where there is a fully detailed guidance and interpretation of the new Act, guidance which sets out detailed examples, guidance that requires any decision to be balanced against the public interest of the people of Britain, one where judicial interpretation is excluded except in the most difficult of cases, one where activist judges can be appealed by the Government and the people and where activist judges, if they lose a case, are fired.

And we often hear that the Civil service will work against us, but not all of them will – there are some good people but in any large organisation, just like in a large business, inertia is a very powerful thing, but a lot of people have bills to pay and will do as they are told.

Similarly, in the military. The Navy operation would be a humanitarian Mission in which the aim is that nobody would be harmed, although realistically you can’t have zero risk of anything.

It’s relatively straightforward, it’s not hard to surveil the English Channel, after all we did this in World War 2. It’s a relatively small passage of water that could surveil it. Using drones and relatively small agile vessels, we can intercept and turn back.

We often hear about the Laws of the Sea – in fact, the Laws of the Sea are being broken by France daily, by allowing these boats to set sail, whilst the Gitane-smoking French Police watch the boats being carried down the beach. Hundreds of people are dying making that journey. The laws of the sea actually dictate that you have an obligation to go and help them, you have an obligation to intervene and stop dangerous journeys and the French has an obligation to intercept and turn them back.

The problem is that we need to have a very difficult conversation with France, but the current Prime Minister of this country is not willing to have a difficult conversation with France, about the sovereignty of our territory and the security of our borders. …..And by the way, the UK is paying them hundreds of millions of pounds a year to stop these boats, there’s no sign that the boats are going to stop anytime soon or that there is any will to achieve this, despite regular deaths at sea.

The right to remain
If you arrive illegally or without paperwork, then no right to remain will be granted under any circumstances and you will be deported to the country from which you came.

We will remove the incentives. Let’s look at the incentives. Now, if you make that Journey cross the channel from France, a safe country where you should be applying for asylum. These people are not in Syria, not Gaza, not places that are torn apart by War, they are in France, a very safe coutry where millions of British people who go to France every year on holiday know that France is a safe country. But still these illegals are crossing the channel, they’re coming here, they get free hotel accommodation oten luxury hotels, they get priority in terms of getting getting Health checkups, many of them, get phones, all sorts of PlayStations, …. something that many families save all year to afford -This is egregious, outrageous and offensive to hard-working British people….they get things that you can’t as a legal British-born person on benefits get!

When you look at, there are so many people in this country who do need help and can’t get GP appointments, can’t get dental, can’t get council houses or are living in squalor in their council house because the Council hasn’t the money for repairs….yet we have BILLIONS for overseas aid and to spend on illegal migrants. Whatever metric you want to look at it, it is outrageous.

We tax the farmers inheritance tax which will make many farms uneconomic, we remove witner fuel payments from pensioners, but we can find north of 5 billion pounds on Asylum hotels …. and that is just the Home Office’s budget, and the reality is the real number’s probably double that when you take into account all of the costs that don’t get put into that budget but are, in fact, occurred for illegal migrants ……and the Government is not doing impact assessments, they’re fine robbing British pensioners to spend it on illegal migrants.

Is it any wonder that there is so much disillusionment with politicians in this country? If you just judge any decision through the lens of the interest of British citizens? Pretty much every policy announcement from the Tories over 14 years and now labour in the eight months, they’ve been in power fails at that first hurdle of taking into account as the prime interest, the interest of the British People. Only Reform pledges that this will be enshrined in law as a mandatory metric.

DOES THIS LOOK LIKE THE FRENCH POLICE OFFICERS AND COASTGUARDS ARE TRYING TO STOP THE BOATS?NO!
